20th Street Apartments Takes Shape

Construction at 20th Street Apartments in Santa Monica continues to move steadily forward, bringing us closer to opening 78 affordable homes for families and individuals with low incomes, including people who have experienced homelessness.

Recent milestones include the substantial completion of the building’s roofing, along with the installation of solar panels and key mechanical equipment. With the exterior progressing well, the construction team is beginning to shift its focus toward interior work as the project moves through the next phase of development.

Now approximately 62% through the overall construction timeline, the team is also exploring opportunities to enhance the future resident experience through additional amenities, including a potential on-site dog run, expanded community room storage, and other design improvements.

Projects like 20th Street Apartments are the result of years of planning, partnership, and investment. It’s exciting to see this future community taking shape, and we’re grateful to everyone helping make it possible. We remain on schedule for completion in May 2027 and look forward to welcoming residents home.
